Online Check-In

What is Online Check-In?

Online Cheick-In is a service that allow you to check in and get your tickets issued from 24 hours to 20 minutes prior to the departure of your flight.
(You can use your PC, smartphone, or tablet etc.)

Cases in which Online Check-In is unavailable

Online check-in is not available if any of the following in applies. Please complete the necessary procedures at an ANA airport counter.
① Passengers using the Disability Discount Fare

  • Passengers who provide the necessary booklet showing eligibility for the discount upon ticket purchase at the ANA airport counter or travel agency can use online check-in.
② Passengers traveling with children or requiring assistance
  • Passengers requiring boarding assistance (e.g., wheelchair users)
  • Passengers using the Kid’s Flight service
③The fare at purchase is different from the applicable fare at check-in

  • You cannot change your reservation after checking in online. Please change your reservation after canceling check-in temporarily.
  • You cannot check in online or cancel online check-in via the Reservation and Service Center. Please complete the procedures by yourself.

How to complete online check-in

  • When you check in online with reservation number, you will be required the last 4 digits of credit card used for purchase or confirmation number,

2. How to check in online and issue a boarding pass

You can use the online check-in service from 24 hours prior to the departure of your flight. Please check in online and issue your boarding pass no later than 20 minutes before the departure.

  • You will be required your reservation record (flight date, flight number, name, and confirmation number or reservation number) to check in online
  • The departure time means the time when the plane starts to move.

3. Going through Security

Please go through Security with scanning your mobile boarding pass (2D barcode) no later than 20 minutes prior to the departure time.

  • If you have check-in baggage, please check it in at ANA BAGGAGE DROP or at the ANA baggage drop counter. ANA BAGGAGE DROP cannot be used before checking in online. Please use it after checking in online.

4. Boarding

Please go to the Boarding Gate no later than 10 minutes before the departure time.

  • Please scan your mobile boarding pass (2D barcode) which used at Security on the ticket gate to board at the Boarding Gate.
  • Domestic Connections

    You can board up to 3 sectors using online check-in if the connecting itinerary is within the same reservation. Please scan your mobile boarding pass (2D barcode) to the final destination at Security.

    • Online check-in is not available for some cases.

    • You cannot get the confirmation number via the Inquiry Form. Please contact the Reservation and Service Center or check in online with reservation number.

    • You may not receive our emails properly if your device is set to receive those from specified domains only. Please ensure that you can receive emails from the "@121.ana.co.jp" domain name.
    • You can add your mobile boarding pass to Apple's Wallet application for iPhone.

    <Attention>

    • You will be required your reservation record (flight date, flight number, name and confirmation number or reservation number) to check in online. The confirmation number is displayed when you purchase your flight tickets. Please do not forget to take a note of it. (The confirmation number is 9 digits.)
      You can confirm your confirmation number at the reservation detail page if you forget it. You will be required flight date, flight number, reservation number and name.
      If you forget your reservation number, please contact the Reservation and Service Center (0570-057-489; available year-round 08:00-20:00 JST).
    • You can obtain your mobile boarding pass (2D barcode) after checking in online. Please scan it on the reader at Security and Boarding Gate.
    • You cannot change your reservation after checking in online. Please change your reservation after boarding the flight for which you have checked in online or canceling check-in temporarily.
    • You cannot check in online or cancel online check-in via the Reservation and Service Center. Please complete the procedures by yourself.
    • Online check-in is not available if you are required to submit any certificates. Please come to an ANA airport counter.
    • Please go through Security no later than 20 minutes before the departure of your flight.
    • Self-service Check-in Machines will be removed sequentially.

    Passengers Who Must Carry Out Procedures at the Airport

    Passengers have not yet completed their flight reservation, ticket purchase, and seat reservation, and those requiring assistance must carry out procedures at the airport.

    1. Before Going to the Airport

    Upon arrival at the airport, please complete boarding procedures at a counter or by using a self-service check-in machine.
    Please see here for information on self-service check-in machines.

    • Passengers requiring assistance
      Those requiring assistance, such as wheelchair users or those using Kid's Flight, must carry out procedures at an airport counter.

    2. By 20 Minutes Before the Departure Time / Check In Baggage

    Please finish checking in your baggage no later than 20 minutes before the flight departure time.
    (If you do so after this time, you may be unable to board your flight.)

    Discontinuance of Security Certificate and Boarding Information

    Security Certificate and Boarding Information forms issued at security checkpoints and boarding gates will be discontinued due to the renewal of equipment.
    *New equipment will be introduced gradually at each airports.

    The Security Certificate previously issued at security checkpoints will be discontinued due to the updated machines.Please check your boarding pass for details such as your boarding gate, group number and seat number.

    Boarding Information slips will not be issued from the new ticket gates.
    Passengers who previously were using Boarding Information slips as proof of boarding are asked to instead issue a Boarding Certificate.
    A Boarding Certificate can be issued at an ANA airport counter or at the Reservation & Service Center.

    The time required when connecting to other flights is listed below.

    Domestic ⇔ Domestic (IBEX/ANA flights)
    Osaka Itami Airport At least 25 minutes
    Other Airports Served by IBEX At least 20 minutes
    • Boarding procedures cannot be carried out for connecting flights for airlines other than those above.
    • Baggage can be checked in up to a maximum of 3 sectors. Please present tickets to your final destination at a baggage drop counter.
    • Boarding procedures must be required at the ANA airport counter or the ANA self-service check-in machine if you board an ANA operating flight in the same itinerary or have made reservations for connecting flights separately.

    Flow from Check-in to Boarding

    Please follow the steps below to complete the boarding procedures from check-in to boarding.

    Please complete check-in online or at a self-service check-in kiosk at the airport at least 20 minutes prior to departure.
    Online check-in is available from 24 hours prior to departure.

    If you have baggage to check, please drop it off at a self-service baggage drop machine or at the counter at least 20 minutes prior to departure.

    Please touch the 2D barcode on your boarding pass and proceed through the security check.

    Please scan the same 2D barcode on your boarding pass used at the security check to board the aircraft.
    Please arrive at the boarding gate at least 10 minutes prior to departure.

    ■Important: If You Miss Your Flight

    Please complete all procedures at least 20 minutes prior to departure and allow sufficient time to pass through security. Please arrive at the boarding gate at least 10 minutes prior to departure.
    If you arrive after the deadlines, you may not be allowed to board even if all procedures have been completed.
    If you miss your flight, a refund will be processed subject to the prescribed fee. Please note that changes to other flights are not permitted.

    What is Online Check-In?

    This service allows you to complete check-in and obtain your boarding pass on the website from 24 hours up to 20 minutes prior to departure.
    It is available on your PC, smartphone, or tablet.
    You will need your email address and reservation number or ticket number to use online check-in.

    Important Notes for Online Check-in

    • After completing online check-in, please issue your boarding pass.
      A boarding pass is required to check in baggage and to pass through security and the boarding gate.
    • To change your reservation after online check-in, please cancel online check-in first.
      Online check-in and cancellation cannot be handled by the Reservation and Customer Service Center.
      Please complete these procedures yourself on the website.

    Cases Where Online Check-in Is Not Available

    Online check-in is not available in the following cases.
    Please complete the required procedures at the airport counter on the day of departure.

    Cases Where Online Check-in Is Not Available
    • If you do not have an email address
    • If your ticket information cannot be confirmed online
    • If there is a fare difference between the fare paid at purchase and the applicable fare at the time of boarding
    • If you have a reservation for a flight operated by another airline, or a connecting flight from another airline
    • If check-in for your reserved flight has been suspended

    Cases Where Online Check-in Is Available but a Boarding Pass Cannot Be Issued

    Customers in the following cases can complete online check-in; however, please collect your boarding pass at the airport counter on the day of departure.

    • Customers traveling with a disability discount
      Customers who purchased tickets via the website or the Reservation and Customer Service Center are required to present a valid certificate at the airport counter.
    • Children traveling alone or customers requiring assistance
      •  -Customers requiring assistance at the airport, such as wheelchair users
      •  -Children aged 2 to under 8 traveling without a companion aged 12 or older
      •  -Customers using the Kids Flight service (unaccompanied minors)
      •  -Customers required to present supporting documents

    How to Use Online Check-in

    Operation 1

    On the online check-in page, enter the passenger name and Reservation Number or e-Ticket Number to search for your reservation.

    Operation 2

    Please confirm your reservation and select [Online Check-in].

    Operation 3

    You are required to register an email address when completing online check-in.
    Please enter your email address and select [Next].

    • You may be asked to enter your email address even if it was registered at the time of booking.
    Operation 4

    If you have not selected a seat, please select your seat.

    Operation 5

    Review your reservation details and complete online check-in by selecting [Online Check-in].

    Operation 6

    After completing check-in, select [Issue Boarding Pass].

    • If you choose to receive your boarding pass by email, it will be sent to your registered email address.
    • If you choose to display your boarding pass in a browser, please save the screen or take a screenshot.
    Operation 7

    Please select how you would like to receive your boarding pass.

    Operation 8

    Select [Print]. A PDF boarding pass will be displayed.
    Please save the screen or take a screenshot.

    Operation 9

    Select [Receive via Email]. Your boarding pass will be sent to your registered email address.

    How to Cancel Online Check-in

    Operation 1

    Enter the passenger name and Reservation Number or e-Ticket Number to search for your reservation.

    • If you have checked baggage, please inform a staff member at the airport before proceeding.
    Operation 2

    Please select [Cancel Online Check-in] on the check-in status screen.

    Operation 3

    After canceling online check-in, please confirm that the status is displayed as [Not Checked In] on the check-in status screen.

    How to Request a Refund after Online Check-in

    Operation 1

    On the check-in status page, select [Reservation Details] at the bottom of the screen to proceed with the refund.

    Review the details and select [Cancel].
    You can also access this option from the menu in the top right corner.

    Operation 3

    The refund process is now complete.
    After completing the process, you will no longer be able to view your reservation via the reservation search.

    Operation 4

    Refunds can also be processed from [Reservation Confirmation] on the IBEX Airlines homepage.

    ■Connections

    Online check-in may not be available for some itineraries.
    If you are connecting to a flight operated by an airline other than IBEX Airlines, please complete the required procedures with the operating airline for your connecting flight.

    Other Information

    • Reservation details are required for online check-in (passenger name and Reservation Number or e-Ticket Number).
      Please make sure to keep a note or screenshot of your reservation details at the time of booking.
    • You can confirm your reservation details in the email sent at the time of ticket purchase or after purchase.
      The Reservation Number is a 6-character alphanumeric code, and the e-Ticket Number is a 13-digit number starting with 205.
      If you have forgotten your reservation number, please contact the Reservation and Service Center after confirming your date of travel, flight number, and full passenger name.

    Airport Standby

    If your preferred flight is fully booked, you may apply for standby using the [Standby Request] service.
    * For IBEX Airlines reservations, standby is available for BASIC Fare and IBEX Biz (corporate fares).
    If you wish to use standby, please follow the steps below.

    STEP 1 Check in for your reserved flight

    Please complete online check-in for your reserved flight before applying for standby.
    Check-in for your reserved flight is also available at a self-service check-in kiosk or at the airport counter.

    STEP 2 Apply for standby via the online check-in page

    • Standby requests can be made from 0:00 on the day of departure until 20 minutes prior to the departure time of your desired flight.
    • From the online check-in page, open “Check-in Status” and apply via [Standby Request].
    • No standby number will be issued after completing your request.
      You can check the standby status on the online check-in page for your reserved flight.

    Conditions for Standby Request

    • Applicable fare eligible for standby* and a one-way reservation*
      * For IBEX Airlines reservations, standby is available for BASIC Fare and IBEX Biz (corporate fares).
    • Check-in for your reserved flight has been completed
    • The requested flight departs on the same day and earlier than your reserved flight
    • The requested flight departs from the same airport and terminal as your reserved flight
    • No standby request has been made for another flight
      (Multiple standby requests cannot be made at the same time. Please apply one flight at a time.)
    • Baggage has not been checked in for your reserved flight

    Standby requests for airport standby are accepted online or at the airport counter; however, some restrictions apply.
    Customers who are not eligible for standby are as follows:

    Group customers* -
    Customers holding reservations that include international flights* Standby requests can only be made at the airport counter.
    • No fares are eligible for standby on flights operated by IBEX Airlines.

    STEP 3 Go through security using the boarding pass for your reserved flight

    • Please scan the boarding pass for your reserved flight at the security checkpoint.
    • If you have checked baggage, please speak to a staff member before proceeding through security.
      You will carry your checked baggage with you when passing through the security checkpoint.

    STEP 4 If a seat becomes available, obtain a boarding pass for the new flight

    Standby results
    • Standby results will be announced from 20 minutes prior to departure.
      You can check the results via email, on the website, or on digital signage near the boarding gate.
      • Customers from canceled flights may be given priority.
    • Once a seat is assigned, your original reservation will be automatically canceled.
      No cancellation procedure is required.
    • After confirming that a seat has been assigned, please issue your new boarding pass on your smartphone or other device.
    • If you have difficulty completing the process or have checked baggage, please contact a staff member.
    • After completing the procedure, please proceed through the boarding gate at least 10 minutes prior to departure.

    If a Seat Is Not Available

    • If you board your reserved flight, no further procedures are required as check-in has already been completed.
    • If you have checked baggage, please inform a staff member at the boarding gate for your reserved flight before boarding begins.
    • If you wish to request standby for another flight, you will need to apply again.
      Standby requests are limited to flights departing on the same day and earlier than your reserved flight.
